About the hotel

Part of the beauty of the 4 star Channings Classic is that it is hidden along a tree-lined crescent, South Learmonth Gardens away from the hubbub of the city's West End, yet only a ten-minute leisurely stroll away.

From the moment you walk in through the front door you know that you are going to be cosseted in luxurious comfort and excellent service. The welcoming hallway has comfortable armchairs beside a glowing fire, a chiming clock on the mantelpiece, and everywhere a real sense of quality and tradition. While near the centre of Edinburgh, the atmosphere is that of a charming townhouse.
 
Channings restaurant (is closed Sunday's and Monday's) has been awarded two AA rosettes for its fine cuisine, whilst the vibrant Ochre Vita wine bar offers Mediterranean food and wines. The hotel is recognised for its superb food and real Scottish hospitality, this was proved when they recently won the 'Best Hotel in Edinburgh Award'.
